I grew up in Geraldton watching WA's mining industry run on clipboards and workarounds. I started Midwest Mining Technologies because I reckon the software for mine sites should be built by someone who actually lives here and understands the environment.
Based in the heart of the Mid West, I'm within a day's drive of most WA operations. Before writing a line of code, I spent months talking to site managers, HSE coordinators, and operations teams — making sure we build what people actually need.
Mine site software should be built by people who actually visit mine sites.
On-site first
We don't build from a co-working space in Perth. We drive to site, talk to the people doing the work, and build around what we see — not what we assume.
Practical over perfect
Our tools work with limited connectivity, on dusty phones, at 5am. We don't chase feature bloat — we chase workflows that actually get used.
Built for operators
The people filling out the forms, doing the handovers, and writing the reports. If it's not faster and easier for them, we haven't solved anything.
